Introducing Daniel Whooley - the Green Party candidate running in the Ongar ward in the Local Elections

I’m really pleased to say that Daniel Whooley has been selected as the Green Party candidate to contest the Local Elections in the Ongar ward. The Ongar ward covers the areas of Ongar, Littlepace, Hartstown, Huntstown, Hansfield and part of Clonsilla.

Daniel grew up and lives in Rusheeney and attended Hartstown Community School. He is currently studying Cybersecurity in IT Blanchardstown. He has sat on the National Council of Foroige and has been involved in VIBE (Voices in Blanchardstown Echoed) and Hartstown Youth Club.

Daniel is really passionate about community development in the Ongar area, coming from his time volunteering with local youth clubs. Dublin 15 has one of the youngest populations in Ireland and it’s time that Fingal County Council started to better represent their needs. There are issues that are going unnoticed by the Council and I believe that Daniel will bring a fresh, younger voice to Council meetings. I am really excited that we have the prospect of getting another Green voice elected to represent Dublin 15.
