Speaking in the Dáil on maternity leave, domestic violence, and Debenhams

Yesterday (May 20th) I spoke in the Dáil during Questions to the Minister for Social Protection.

I raised the issue of women on maternity leave not being eligible for the Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme, as well as impacts on the maternity leave itself.

I also asked the Minister about the proposal from Safe Ireland to extend emergency rent supplement to people fleeing domestic violence.

Finally, I raised the issue of the legal advice that the Minister for Social Protection got regarding the Debenhams liquidation. Workers have been treated outrageously by the company and the banks who hold the company's debts.
