Give you views on the Clonsilla Village Framework Plan
Thanks to Fingal County Council for hosting the walk-in consultation on the draft Clonsillla Framework Plan on Thursday afternoon and evening in the Blanchardstown Library.
It gave all of us who attended the opportunity to look at hard copies of the plans and discuss them with Council officials.
A lot of Clonsilla residents were concerned that there is a proposal to remove the entire hedge between the Clonsilla Road and Castlefield Park and Woods. The Council officials at the walk-in stated that the hedge would not be removed, which is an important clarification.
There were also a lot of questions about the proposed playground area around Lohunda Lodge, and the proposal to remove the fencing separating Castlefield Woods from the Clonsilla Road and the Shelerin Road. The Council officials accepted the concerns about having a playground close to the main road without any barriers. However, in light of the anti-social behaviour that has taken place around the Lodge and the wooded area behind, the Council are eager to get residents views on how they would like to see this area treated under the new plan.
The deadline for members of the public to make a submission is next Friday 14th February.
