Fingal County Council are putting out a proposal to close part of the old R121 to make that a pedestrian and cycle route (see map here). People wishing to get from Hollystown to Tyrrelstown or vice versa would then have to go around the new Hollywoodrath development through the three roundabouts.

This proposal must go out to public consultation as the original Local Area Plan said that this would happen. However, the officials and most of the councillors have an open mind as to whether to support it or not. We want to see what submissions come in from the public – both from people living in the new Hollywoodrath development and those in surrounding areas

If you have any views on this proposal – positive or negative – you must communicate them by letter to: Ms. Olivia McCormack, Administrative Officer, Operations Department, Fingal County Council, Grove Road, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15.

The closing date for the receipt of submissions is by 4:30pm on Friday 11th January 2019.

Feel free to drop me an email with your views too – rodericogorman@gmail.com

If you want to discuss these or anything else with me, please get in touch.
